OK, so the little town of Hollywood has recently been churning out franchises and trilogies that they hope will stem the test of time. Everyone wants to be remembered for doing and epic movie, song, play, or whatever. However, not everything qualifies as an epic in my book. Really my only criteria is a strong emotional attachment, which is why several franchises/movie that 99.99% of the world loves may or may not make this list. Sorry in advance for your disappointment.
1. Lord of the Rings
Seriously, you can't go wrong with a 12 hour epic. You are transported into a time and place that you are a little sad and glad to leave. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have done well with the whole dark lord thing, or the hiking cross country.
2. Star Trek (2009 & 2013) and Soundtracks
Before the complaints about how awesome the original Star Trek is and how the new one just doesn't measure up begin, let me just say that I am a product of my generation. While I have an appreaciation for older version, the better looking actors (I love me some Patrick Stewart though) and effects will get me every time. Plus the music is schweet! If Into Darkness didn't get an emotional rise out of you, you are a cold-hearted fiend!
3. Hunger Games
The books were a great read and so far the movie adaptations have been awesome as well.
4. Fast and Furious Franchise
I love every movie in this franchise, including Tokyo Drift. Street racing and action is always a plus in my book!
5. Pirates of the Caribbean
It's pirates. No need to say anything else :)

I think I'm addicted.....
to Ebay!! What started as a simple search for an affordable iphone has escalated into full blown addiction. Okay, maybe not that far. I don't need an ebay anonymous group (yet). Seriously though, where else can I get all five Fast and Furious movies for $30??? Right now I'm waiting for three items to ship and I have bids on another two. All of this may have something to with my lack of being able to pay retail price for anything. Ebay is just so helpful.
It brings items I haven't been able to find or didn't even know I wanted to my fingertips. In the last six months I've bought (won) an iphone (for my mom), 3 necklaces, 6 movies (working on another 2), and audio book (working on another one both for my mom), 2 sets of iphone/ipod speakers (one for my mom), a total of 15 iphone cases (for other people), and a complete anime series.
Man, that sounds like a crap ton of stuff. Who cares? I'm content. :D

Rants
EDIT: READ THIS ONE FIRST AND THEN THE ONE UNDER IT!!!
Rant #1: Just because I'm civil to you doesn't mean I want to be your friend. Do not text and facebook me repeatedly to ask if I'm coming to your event if I am clearly avoiding you. Odds are that if I don't like you, I'm not gonna waste a three hour road trip to see you. I listen to you rant out of friendship obligations to your significant other and the fact that it is against the friendship code (and the law) to repeatedly beat you over the head.
Rant #2: Touch screen phones are useless when the screen stops responding to touch. The person that thought this was a good idea should be shot. Sure I could recalibrate the screen, but that only works when you don't have to use the screen to get settings to recalibrate the screen. Does anyone else see the fundamental flaw in this??
Rant #3: If you are going to fire me, just do it. Texas is an At Will state, meaning that you can fire an employee for whatever reason you want. Don't try to get me to change what I'm doing by repeatedly threatening my job. First of all, you've never done my job so you don't know the first thing about how it works. Secondly, don't be rude and condescending and then expect me to appreciate that you haven't fired me yet. Thirdly, I'm not impressed by the size of your ego, nor by the lengths you are willing to ride this power trip. So I suggest you come back down to earth.

Bigger, better....busier???
Hola people!
Well since that last post, things have been pretty interesting. (For the record, I wrote that post months ago :/) Anyways let's try to make this as quick and concise as possible.
1. The job has been decidedly better. My previous boss no longer works for the company. So I got a new boss and a promotion! This means my hours are much crazier but hopefully there will be a sense of normalcy soon.
2. No the video blog is not dead. I just haven't had the time to record as of yet. I've been reading plenty, so there will be lots to talk about. I'm also contemplating moving from tumblr to youtube. Btw check out the Lizzie Bennett diaries when you get the chance. My great friend, Kiersten got me into them. Watch and enjoy!
3. Stories are still doing well despite my not updating them for months....well the fanfiction stories. I also have a facebook page. Pretty sweet huh?
4. I started a book reading challenge. I need to read 100 books by December 31, 2013. I'm on book 6. Wish me luck.
5. Zumba is my friend....the end.
6. I went to see my best friend graduate college, only he didn't and no one saw fit to tell me. So now he's not speaking to me (which didn't sting as much I thought it would) and I am no longer obligated to be nice to his girlfriend (who I don't like). I lost a friend but I knew it was coming. Yay for being prepared! The best part is I can be free to be me without having to worry about hurting either of their feelings and I'm good with it :)
So to sum it all up, Life is great :D
